ArmInfo. Unfortunately, swearing has become a vicious phenomenon in this election campaign. Various political forces and figures publicly insult each other, allowing themselves vulgar expressions and sexual insults. Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
At the same time, he once again warned that these curses quickly spread among people, and then they use them in daily curses and attacks.
"In recent days, applications have begun to be received demanding the protection of officials, while ignoring the fact that the Ombudsman does not investigate cases of insulting officials or individuals, "forgetting" that there are law enforcement agencies for this. Obscene language further exacerbates the situation. It shouldn't be part of the public agenda. I call on all political forces and figures to stop turning abuse into a public agenda and openly encourage vicious behavior, "the Ombudsman emphasized.
To note, yesterday a group of persons, previously supporters of the incumbent head of the RA government Nikol Pashiyan, attacked the office of the Prosperous Armenia Party and tried to destroy it. However, the men who were in the office of the party at that moment stopped the attack, and then law enforcement agencies intervened in the case and resolved the situation. The attackers shouted "Nikol prime minister".
The incident was condemned by the "Armenia" bloc. Thus, the bloc's spokesman Aram Vardevanyan described the incident as a hooligan attack. "The hooligan attack on the election headquarters of the Prosperous Armenia Party today is terrible. We strongly condemn this lawlessness and declare that this is a direct result of the spread of hatred and enmity on the part of the ruling authorities. I emphasize that what happened is connected with the inaction of law enforcement agencies," Vardevanian wrote.
