ArmInfo.The vaccination process in Armenia is slow. This was stated in one of the interviews by the acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Anahit Avanesyan.
At the same time, she expressed hope that in the post-election period, when the tension in the country will decrease, the rate of vaccination of citizens will accelerate. In this vein, she noted that according to the situation at the moment about 50 thousand citizens were vaccinated in Armenia. However, Avanesyan stressed that Armenia must achieve the indicators registered in other countries of the region. At the same time, referring to the observations of a WHO specialist, she assured that the healthcare system of Armenia is in full readiness in terms of training medical personnel. In general, according to Avanesyan, citizens in Armenia are also ready for vaccination, since there is an understanding that in the future this process will be directly related to freedom of travel.
Note that the vaccination process in Armenia started on April 13 this year. Earlier, the head of the RA Ministry of Health Anahit Avanesyan reported that by the end of 2021 it is planned to vaccinate 20% of the population of Armenia.
As of 11:00am on June 11, a total of 223 555 cases of coronavirus infection (19.9%) were registered in Armenia, 214 998 people recovered (96.1%), deaths - 4 482 (1.9%). The total number of citizens who passed the COVID-19 test reaches 1,118 753.
