ArmInfo.A very explosive situation has developed in Armenia, these elections will be the most shameful and explosive. On June 7, during the presentation of the program of the Armenian National Congress, leader of the ANC, first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan stated this.
"We are going to the elections, and these are not simple elections. A very explosive situation has developed in Armenia. And in my opinion, these elections will be the most shameful and explosive. As you can see, there are two poles that seek to win these elections in any way. Both the poles have enormous financial, human, criminal and other resources, and do not disdain anything to achieve their goals. After this tragic war, instead of cooling the ardor and starting to think soberly, these forces are trying to throw the country into an even bigger hole, "the first president of Armenia is convinced.
In this regard, the politician urged not to trust anyone - neither Kocharian, nor Pashinyan. In this vein, he once again recalled that there is a simple way out of this situation, to change the government in the country and create an interim government.
He assured that if his proposal was accepted by second and third presidents of Armenia, Robert Kocharian and Serzh Sargsyan, then all problems in the country would be resolved. In particular, the former presidents would again recede into the background, a team of technocrats in the interim government would be created, which could lead the country out of the crisis in which it found itself in 2-3 years.
"But Kocharian and Sargsyan rejected my offer. It was an excellent solution to the problem and the only way of salvation. Now there will be a battle, the battle of the two poles will begin, then there will be many violations in the elections and it will come to clashes," Ter-Pertrosyan said.
At the same time, he considers the pre-election program proposed by Kocharian and Pashinyan empty, assuring that they say one thing, do another, and what is happening today is political revenge. Ter-Petrosyan called Kocharian vindictive, assuring that the second president would punish even the one who accidentally stepped on his foot in the kindergarten.
He also touched on why he refused to debate with Nikol Pashinyan. "Kocharian gave an excellent answer to Pashinyan, saying that he was ready to go to a duel with him, and with the use of any weapon. That is, everything from a slingshot to an atomic bomb can be used in everyday life. I refused to go to these debates, because I felt sorry for Pashinyan, otherwise after that he would simply commit suicide. Pashinyan himself once admitted that no matter what I say, in the end I am always right.
At the same time, Ter-Petrosyan said that he was surprised by Kocharian's statements about a decent peace, and this was after the capitulation. According to the politician, at best it will be a worthy surrender. In conclusion, he assured that Armenia has no allies on the Karabakh issue
