
ArmInfo.Almost a third of the simplified residents of Armenia consider the issue of security to be the most urgent for Armenia today. This is evidenced by the results of the next poll, prepared by the consulting company MPG (Marketing Professional Group), which represents the Gallup International Association in Armenia. The results of the poll were presented on June 5 by director of "MPG" LLC Aram Navasardyan.
Thus, when asked to note the most pressing issues that are facing Armenia today, 27.2% of the respondents pointed to the problem of security. Another 25.8% consider the most urgent problem today to clarify the borders, 20% - the issue of returning prisoners of war, 18.2% - the preservation of peace, another 16.3% consider the most important stabilization of the economy.
Social problems are of particular importance for 8.8% of respondents, reforms in the army and the Armed Forces for 8%, employment concerns 6.3% of respondents, possible political instability in the post-election period 3.7%, and 20.1% indicated other answers.
The respondents were asked to express their attitude to the fact that on May 25, in the border village of Gegharkunik region, Verin Shorzha, an Armenian soldier was killed by an enemy shot, and on May 27, 6 Armenian soldiers were taken prisoner. 23.3% were in favor of pushing back the Azerbaijani servicemen who violated the state border of Armenia, 23% were in favor of capturing the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in Gegharkunik and Syunik, 21.2 %, 14% of respondents were in favor of helping the Russian Federation for Moscow to negotiate with Baku. 6% offered to negotiate directly with Azerbaijan, 8.2% found it difficult to answer, and 4.4% offered other options.
It should be noted that the survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of Armenia in the period from May 31 to June 4 this year, the sample size was 1101, the sampling error was +/- 3.5%.
