ArmInfo.Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Alexander De Croo in Brussels.
As reported by the press service of the RA government, the parties have shown interest in expanding trade and economic ties, investment ties, implementation of joint programs in various sectors of the economy. Emphasizing the development of economic ties with Armenia, Alexander De Croo noted that a visit of the Belgian trade mission to Armenia is planned, which will study the prospects and opportunities for the development of trade and investment relations between the two countries. The visit is planned within the framework of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Armenian community in Belgium. During the meeting, the parties touched upon the provocative actions of the units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, stressed that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan must leave the sovereign territory of Armenia to settle the situation peacefully.
The Prime Minister of Belgium noted that what is happening is a matter of concern, and this issue is in the focus of attention of the Belgian authorities. Belgium stands for ensuring the return of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan and the resumption of the process of settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
