In accordance with the invitation of President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, the delegation of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States will take part in observing the early parliamentary elections to be held in the Republic on June 20, 2021.
According to the press service of the IPA CIS, Igor Komarovsky, Chairperson of the Standing Commission on Industry, Fuel-Energy Complex, Transport and Communication of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, has been appointed coordinator of the monitoring group from the IPA CIS.
At present, a monitoring group is being formed from representatives of the national parliaments of the IPA CIS member states, employees of the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council and experts from the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD). To note, the elections are scheduled for June 20. 22 parties and 4 block will take part in them.
