ArmInfo. The working group formed under the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia, which will ensure the rule of law at the early June 20 early parliamentary elections, has begun to actively work.
Thus, according to the Prosecutor General's Office, the working group received 24 reports of electoral violations, and materials are being prepared for 5 of them.
The ministry said that as a result of the monitoring of the working commission, the Prosecutor General's Office studied materials on three publications in the media about alleged violations during the elections, as well as 19 entries made by citizens on social networks, as well as 17 appeals from individuals.
"On 19 of the above mentioned, which were of a general nature and were subject to elimination, the police were instructed to carry out checks (6 were refuted, 13 more checks are underway), a criminal case was initiated on 5 more applications on the grounds of Articles 180 and 181 of the RA Criminal Procedure Code.
Noting that the Prosecutor General's Office will continue to work to ensure the rule of law in the upcoming elections, the department also recalled the hotline (010) 511-999 to which citizens can send their complaints.
