ArmInfo.During a poll in Armenia a month ago, it turned out that the overwhelming majority of respondents consider France a friendly country, RA Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on June 1 in Paris during a meeting with President of the French National Assembly Richard Ferrand.
According to the press service of the government, according to the acting head of the RA government, the Armenian side is interested in France being more represented in Armenia. In this context, he noted the importance of expanding bilateral economic ties, in particular, expanding the presence of French business in Armenia and increasing investments.
In addition, Pashinyan touched upon the situation after the Artsakh war. He also spoke about the situation on the border with Azerbaijan, noting that Armenia is trying to resolve the conflict through diplomacy and with the help of international partners. Referring to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Pashinyan noted the importance of the OSCE Minsk Group in the process.
Richard Ferrand, in turn, noted that France will do everything to establish peace, prosperity and stability in Armenia. The French side once again noted the importance of ensuring the territorial integrity of Armenia and the early return of the Armenian prisoners of war held by Baku, ensuring the preservation of the Armenian cultural heritage in Artsakh and involving UNESCO in this process.
