ArmInfo. In the near future, Armenia receive the reaction of its partners to the proposal to de-escalate the situation on the border with Azerbaijan, Acting Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan told reporters on June 1.
"We must do everything possible so that the issue is resolved peacefully and diplomatically, and I think this is the right approach," Grigoryan said.
Referring to the "protracted reaction" of the OSCE MG countries to Pashinyan's proposal, Grigoryan noted that for the Armenian side, it is not the reaction of partners that is more important, but the results. At the same time, he assured that in the near future Armenia will receive the reaction of its partners. "I think that there will be not only a reaction, but also action. I want to be sure that this issue will be resolved diplomatically and I think that a reaction can be expected in the coming days," Grigoryan said. Acting Deputy Prime Minister also denied the rumors about the possible surrender of enclaves by Armenia to Azerbaijan, saying that there were no such discussions.
To recall, on May 27, at a meeting of the Security Council, Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proposed to withdraw the military units of both sides from the border to their places of permanent deployment, and then place international observers representing Russia or other OSCE MG co-chairs on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, in particular, in the Sotk-Khoznavar section.
