ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration of the US Department of Justice. To sign the memorandum, William Warren, Director of the Regional Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration of the US Department of Justice, and the head of the Georgian office, Jennifer Swieder, arrived in Armenia.
As reported by the press service of the SRC of Armenia, the document was signed by the chairman of the department, Edward Hovhannisyan, director of the regional office of the US Department of Justice's Drug Enforcement Administration, William Warren.
The purpose of the memorandum is to deepen cooperation between the two structures aimed at combating illegal drug trafficking, their analogues and precursors, as well as crimes related to money laundering arising from these criminal activities.
"The signing of the memorandum is the result of effective interaction between the Anti-Smuggling Office of the State Revenue Committee and the Regional Office of the US Department of Justice's Drug Enforcement Administration," the statement said.
