Borrell delegated European ministers to the South Caucasus

ArmInfo.On my behalf, a group of EU ministers will visit three countries of the South Caucasus,  High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and  Security Policy Josep Borrell said at a press conference after an  informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Lisbon.

"On my behalf, a group of EU ministers will visit three countries of  the Caucasus to demonstrate their readiness to get involved in  current events in the region," said the High Representative of the  EU.  According to him, the ministers held a lengthy discussion on the  issue of unresolved conflicts in the Eastern Neighborhood countries.

"We discussed the unresolved conflicts in the Eastern Neighborhood.  We must be more effective in protecting stability in the region.  Believe me, the discussion was very long, since there are many  unresolved conflicts in the Eastern Neighborhood countries. We  discussed each conflict and analyzed what the European Union can do  to resolve them peacefully, to strengthen bilateral contacts and  strengthen our participation in the OSCE, "said Josep Borrell,  Georgia-online reports.
