ArmInfo. In the event of the continuing growth of the Azerbaijani military presence on the territory of the Republic of Armenia, the cancellation of the early  parliamentary elections in Armenia is by no means excluded. A similar  opinion was expressed to ArmInfo by the head of the "Bright Armenia"  parliamentary faction Edmon Marukyan.

On the morning of May 12, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces crossed the  border in the area of Lake Sev Lich, deepening into the territory of  Armenia up to 3.5 kilometers in order to establish control over the  lake. On May 13, Yerevan officially turned to the CSTO for help in  this regard. And on May 14, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  turned personally to Russian President Vladimir Putin for help.  According to the latest information, Azerbaijani saboteurs are still  in Armenia. Today, on May 26, political forces, parties intending to take part in  the early parliamentary elections on June 20, will submit their  proportional lists to the CEC. The official start of the election  campaign is scheduled for June 7. On May 25, "Haykakan Zhamanak"  newspaper published the first 15 lines of the list of the "Civil  Contract" party. The list is expected to be headed by Pashinyan  himself, while the positions of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan  and Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan were taken by the owner of the Sil  Group concern Khachatur Sukiasyan and the famous businessman Gurgen  Arsenyan.

In this light, the politician recalled that most of the 17 opposition  parties, including Robert Kocharian and Serzh Sargsyan, have  repeatedly expressed their unwillingness to participate in early  elections if the current government takes over their organization.  Meanwhile, in contrast to them, it was "Bright Armenia" that put on  the agenda the necessity of holding early elections as a means, a  mechanism for settling the current internal political crisis in  Armenia.

In general, the politician is rather pessimistic about the prospects  of unleashing another war by Azerbaijan.  According to him, the issue  must be resolved exclusively by political means, without shooting the  Azerbaijani military from the territory of Armenia. Including, by  increasing pressure on the CSTO and Moscow and using the support of  France and the United States. In this light, Marukyan considers it  unproductive and wrong to shoot at the aggressor.

"In general, I believe that if Nikol Pashinyan resigns from the post  of Prime Minister of the country after the signing of the trilateral  statement of November 9, negotiations on resolving the situation  would be much more successful.
