ArmInfo. The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan, chaired by Judge Anna Danibekyan, (Shengavit residence) today, on May 25, once again postponed the court hearing on the case of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharian and former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan until June 15.
Former Deputy Prime Minister Gevorgyan's lawyer, Erik Aleksanyan, informed the court that he would be on vacation from May 24 to June 9, in connection with which he asked to postpone today's court session. Robert Kocharian's lawyer, Aram Vardevanyan, also said that he was going on vacation, since he was going to represent the "Armenia" bloc in the parliamentary elections.
Prosecutor Gevorg Baghdasaryan objected, pointing out the disrespectful attitude towards the court, to which Vardevanyan noted that everyone has the right to leave.
Judge Anna Danibekyan noted that due to the absence of Erik Aleksanyan, the only representative of Gevorgyan's interests, it is not possible to continue the trial. As a result, it was decided to schedule the next court session at 1:00pm on June 15.
