ArmInfo. From June 1, it will be possible to cross the land border of Georgia with a document confirming the completion of the full course of vaccination and with a negative response to the PCR test.
The Interdepartmental Coordination Council for the Fight against Coronavirus under the Prime Minister of Georgia made a decision from June 1 to open land borders with closest neighbors for travelers, which have been closed since March 2020 due to the pandemic. This was stated at a briefing by the head of the operational headquarters of the interdepartmental coordination council Georgy Gibradze.
"The Coordinating Council decided to open land borders from June 1. Land borders will open, and their crossing will be possible with a document confirming the completion of the full course of vaccination and with a negative response to the PCR test," Gibradze said.
“Land borders will open from June 1, and the border can be crossed with a document confirming the complete vaccination and a negative PCR test result or only a negative test result within the last 72 hours. In this case, persons who will enter Georgia will be required to repeat the test within the next 72 hours. At the same time, all visitors are advised to have medical insurance, which also covers treatment for COVID-19, ”said Giorgi Gibradze.
