
ArmInfo.The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia opened a criminal case in connection with the shelling by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces of a resident of the village of Shosh, who is performing engineering work on the territory adjacent to the village, and in connection with the shooting in the direction of the soldiers of the Artsakh Defense Army.
As reported by the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia, on May 17, around 5:00pm local time, a group of Azerbaijani servicemen, motivated by national hatred, with the aim of killing two or more persons, deliberately destroying the property of another, continuously conducted targeted fire for about 7 minutes in the direction of N -th military unit of the NKR Armed Forces, as well as a multifunctional excavator driven by a resident of the Shosh village of Martuni region, and which, under the protection of Armenian military personnel, carried out engineering work at one of the combat positions of the military unit.
"As a result of these actions, the windshield and the left side door of the excavator were damaged, significant material damage was caused. In fact, the killings were not completed only because the escalator driver and the military were able to hide from the bullets," the department noted.
The Prosecutor General's Office reported that a criminal case was initiated on the basis of points 1, 7, 13 of part 2 of Article 34-104 of the RA Criminal Code, as well as point 4 of part 2 of Article 185 of the RA Criminal Code. A preliminary investigation is underway.
