ArmInfo.On May 14, Ara Aivazian, Acting Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia, held a telephone conversation with Chairman of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin.
The Ministers discussed the steps taken to resolve the situation on the state border of Armenia since May 12.
As an addition to the letters sent to the leaders of the CSTO member states on behalf of the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Ara Aivazian stressed the need to implement the consultative mechanism provided for in Article 2 of the Collective Security Treaty. The Chairman of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers Sirojiddin Mukhriddin informed the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Aivazian that the current chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has already given relevant instructions.
