RPA on situation in Syunik: The current regime has no internal or  external instruments to preserve the territorial integrity of Armenia

The executive body of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) expresses concern over the situation around Syunik, in particular, in connection with the  violation of the state border of the Republic of Armenia and the  illegal advance of Azerbaijani troops 3.5 km deep into Armenia in the  direction of Sev Lich (Black Lake).

The RPA statement notes that the Executive Body is convinced that  such a development of processes is due to the criminal inaction of  the capitulating Armenian authorities, an incorrect assessment of the  situation, a deep crisis in the system of state administration and  security, and the devastating consequences of the recent war in  Artsakh.

"At the same time, it should be noted that these incidents related to  the violation of the territorial integrity of Armenia contain  escalation risks, and the current authorities are not taking any  steps to prevent or neutralize them. As a result, Azerbaijan is  expanding the instruments of pressure on Armenia, paving the way for  a demand from the Armenian sides of new concessions and new demands.
