Pashinyan`s government promises to gradually increase salaries of  scientists until 2025

ArmInfo. On May 13, during a cabinet meeting, the Armenian government increased the minimum wage for research workers.

As pointed out by the acting Prime Minister, until 2025, the  country's authorities plan to gradually increase the salary of  scientists. So, if today the average salary of an employee is 90 400  drams, then in 2025 it will reach 276 thousand drams. The head of the  scientific department, who currently receives an average of 141  thousand drams, will receive a salary in the amount of 477 200  thousand drams in 4 years. At the same time, as the Minister of  Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan pointed out,  the increase will be appointed only based on the results of  certification.

At the same time, today the Cabinet of Ministers has increased the  budget of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports by  500 million drams to ensure the start of construction work of 5  modular schools - 1 school will be built in Gegharkunik region, and 2  schools -in Shirak and Vayots Dzor regions.
