ArmInfo. The pre-election campaign for the early parliamentary elections in Armenia will begin on June 7 and end on June 18 at 12:00 pm. Chairman of the Central Election Commission Tigran Mukuchyan announced this on May 11 during a meeting of the CEC. The Commission today approved the schedule of measures for the preparation and conduct of early elections to the National Assembly of the 8th convocation.
Thus, the formation of polling stations will take place until May 26, 2021. Registration of parties and party blocs will take place from May 26 to May 31. The political forces will receive a number in the ballot based on the results of the draw. The deadline for submission of applications for self-rejection of candidates, parties or parties-members of the bloc is June 10 at 6:00 pm. Voter lists will be posted in a prominent place at polling stations on 31 May.
Electronic voting will begin on June 11 and end on the 13th. June 19 is a day of silence. The elections will be held on June 20 from 8:00 am to 8.00 pm local time. According to Mukuchyan, work is underway to install cameras at 1,500 polling stations where the overwhelming majority of voters vote. At the polling stations, proxies, observers, and media representatives will be able to attend (including during the counting of votes).
