ArmInfo. The number of citizens vaccinated against coronavirus in Armenia as of May 9 this year is 10,727 people. This is stated in the official statement of the Ministry of Health of Armenia.
In particular, the Ministry of Health recalled that, if desired, citizens can be vaccinated daily in primary health care facilities, on Saturday and Sunday - from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. In this case, you must first call the selected clinic and sign up for vaccination, which is free of charge. Foreign citizens can also be vaccinated in Armenia. To recall, Armenia has already imported 24 thousand doses of the British-Swedish AstraZeneca vaccine and 15 thousand doses of the Russian Sputnik V. After that, another batch of the Russian drug for 14 thousand people was delivered to Armenia. As head of the Armenian health department Anahit Avanesyan reported earlier, supplies of American-made Novavax vaccine are also expected. It was reported that China provided Armenia with 100 thousand doses of vaccine free of charge, which are envisaged for 50 thousand people. In addition, there is an agreement with the Russian side on the supply of 1 million doses of Sputnik V. According to the minister, by the end of 2021, it is planned to vaccinate 20% of the population in Armenia.
To note, since the outbreak of the pandemic, 219,353 cases were confirmed in Armenia , which is 21.5% of those who conducted the coronavirus test. The number of recovered people reached 205,200 (93.5%), deaths - 4,249 (1.9%) .
