ArmInfo. For the second time, the Armenian parliament did not elect Nikol Pashinyan to the post of RA Prime Minister.
78 MPs took part in the voting, which took place during a special meeting of parliament on the issue of "non-election" of the prime minister: 1 MP voted <for> Pashinyan's candidacy, 1- <against>, and 76- abstained.
"Thus, in accordance with Part 3 of Article 149 of the RA Constitution, and 9 of Part 140 of Article of the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, the process of dissolution of the parliament has been launched in Armenia, followed by the appointment of early parliamentary elections. The parliament of our convocation will function until a new one is formed, " RA NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan said.
To recall, on March 18, after consultation with the parliamentary forces and the RA President, Nikol Pashinyan announced the holding of early elections on June 20.
