ArmInfo. The visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Armenia was productive and constructive. The Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin shares this opinion.
"The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave appropriate assessments and will give them more, but in my opinion, I have the impression that it was a good, constructive, efficient visit, which is quite consistent with the level of our relations, our political dialogue," the diplomat said in an interview with reporters on May 9 during his visit to the Tokhmakh cemetery in Yerevan, where 520 Soviet soldiers are buried.
At the same time, he stressed that during the visit, the whole range of issues related to bilateral relations and the situation in the region and, naturally, the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh was discussed. The Ambassador added that the issue of prisoners of war remains on the agenda of the Russian Federation.
