ArmInfo. In the second and final reading on May 7, the Armenian parliament adopted a package of bills on amendments and additions to the Electoral Code and related laws.
The legislative package envisages enforcing by force of law the holding of pre-election debates on Public Television, expanding the list of expenses incurred by funds, and significantly reducing the possibility of increasing the number of parliament members.
The bill also provides for a decrease in the threshold for admission to the National Assembly for parties from 5% to 4% and an increase in the threshold for blocs: up to 8% for blocs of 3 parties and up to 10% for blocs of 4 or more parties.
