Forecast: "Civil Contract" in the future parliament is a guarantee of  even deeper disappointment of the society

ArmInfo.an. We absolutely do not consider RPA, "Prosperous Armenia" or any other force from the past as our competitors in the upcoming early elections,  and in general,  it is simply impossible to forecast the results of the upcoming  parliamentary elections. A similar opinion was expressed to ArmInfo  by secretary of the social-democratic party "Citizen's Decision"  Suren Sahakyan.

"Forces from the past" will be elected by people who dream of the  return of past morals, and such citizens have never been part of our  electorate. Our voter monitors the connection between political  processes and how they affect his life. These are mostly young,  energetic people who reject the carriers of political thinking from  the past. These are people striving for an economically developed  and, most importantly, free Armenia, "he noted.

Emphasizing the small number of this stratum of Armenian society, the  politician concluded that the results of last year's war  significantly increased it, thus increasing the probability of the  "Citizen's Decision" party appearing in the parliament. According to  Sahakyan, after appearing in the parliament, his party will become a  kind of safety cushion, ensuring internal political stability and  setting the country on the path of development.

According to him, the expression by society of a vote of confidence  in the "Citizen's Decision" will mean its readiness to embark on the  path of real, not declared political reforms. That will enable the  party to operate in the parliament with great efficiency, and the  citizens to see that there is a different policy, which with each new  elections leads to the formation of a completely new political  culture for Armenia.

"All this is extremely important, given that the expectations of our  people from the revolution of 2018 were never realized. As a result,  trading companies that sell votes of their own voters continue to be  considered political players in Armenia, which is one of the reasons  forcing our citizens to stay away from polling stations as far as  possible. Thus, disappointment and lack of confidence in political  forces is a deep source of destruction, delaying the development of  the country as a whole, "he is convinced.  Sahakyan especially noted  that many citizens still see the "Civil Contract" party - a force  that did not fulfill its own promises, as a political majority in  parliament. That, according to his forecasts, is the key to a new,  deeper disappointment of society in the future.  

"This is also evidence of the lack of understanding of the political  agenda, which can become the basis for the country's development in  the future, among the majority of citizens who are ready to take part  in the elections. This means that these people still do not  understand the causes of their own misfortunes. In return for all  this, we offer society our own agenda, consisting of a radical reform  of the political system, separation of business from politics,  creation of a judicial system free from anyone, etc. I hope that our  citizens will give us the opportunity to put it into practice, "the  politician summed up.
