ArmInfo. The ''Support for the Wounded Soldiers'' charitable non- governmental organization joins efforts with the "Aznavour" Foundation in the framework of programs aimed at the social reintegration of wounded servicemen.
According to the press service of the Foundation, within the framework of the joint program for the social reintegration of wounded servicemen, grants will be provided to wounded soldiers for doing business. In addition to funding business ideas, the program will provide wounded soldiers with professional guidance, training, business advice, and business skills.
The goal of the program is to create a sustainable source of income for the wounded soldier through business and to ensure financial independence.
"Since the first days of the war in September 2020, the Aznavour Foundation has focused all its resources and capabilities on providing assistance to Armenia and Artsakh, starting with the provision of medical equipment, medicines and ending with targeted assistance to thousands of war-affected families.
Within the framework of this humanitarian aid program, with the support of partners, the Foundation managed to collect 175 tons of humanitarian aid in France and Switzerland and move it to Armenia in cooperation with the French government. At the moment, the Aznavour Foundation seeks to focus its efforts on social and rehabilitation programs. We are glad that these projects begin with this program, implemented jointly with the ''Support for the Wounded Soldiers'' NGO said Karine Evoyan, Deputy Director of the Aznavour Foundation. Servicemen and volunteers who were injured while defending their homeland can benefit from the social reintegration program, the beneficiaries of the program are also former servicemen who were injured in previous years.
Beneficiaries wishing to participate in the program must submit their business ideas to the "One Window" program of the Rehabilitation Center of the Defender of the Homeland at Abovyan Str. 58, phone number +37493982849. With the support of a specialist, the idea will be discussed with the beneficiary and, if necessary, revised to meet the required criteria. Then the business ideas will be presented to a special appraisal committee. All approved applications will be funded. Each approved project will be funded in the amount of 5,000 euros, with a maximum of 12 months for implementation. Acceptance of applications begins on May 4, 2021.
