ArmInfo. Last year's war in Artsakh was not lost personally by Nikol Pashinyan, but by an Armenian general living in the castle. Chairman of the Christian Democratic Party, Doctor of Political Science Levon Shirinyan, expressed a similar opinion to ArmInfo.
"The war was lost by a general who turned out to be only able to give interviews and criticize everyone and everything, but not himself. For years, we were told myths about the invincibility of the Armenian army, and then one day it turned out that the Armenian army was not ready for war, and the Armenian general was besides, he is still uneducated. And all this is due to decades of reign in our country of a kleptocratic, anti-popular and anti-state regime in its essence, "he stressed.
Expressing his conviction that one of the goals of the 44-day war was to disable the power of Pashinyan, Shirinyan stressed that the so-called opposition did everything to squeeze the maximum out of Armenia's defeat for its own narrow-group goals. In this light, he hypothesized that on the night of November 9 to Nov. 10, the people who broke into the Armenian government building intended to kill the prime minister and thus carry out a coup. And the speaker of the parliament Ararat Mirzoyan survived only by a lucky chance.
According to the politician, only the Armenian people will not allow the planned continuation of this entire destructive scenario. And today the power in Armenia should be changed exclusively through elections. Noting that today all the same people from the past are preparing the ground with all their might in order to plunge Armenia into post-election upheavals, he forecasted, that one way or another, the political force of Nikol Pashinyan will still come out on top in the anticipated early elections.
" I expect, that in case of transparent, free democratic elections, elections without external interference, the " Civil Contract " will gain 40-45%. Our party intends to take the second or third place. The main thing today is to exclude the very possibility of reincarnation of a kleptocratic, feudal Armenia's past. In any case, today we expect only one thing from them - the return of what was stolen from us, "he stressed.
According to Shirinyan's estimates, "people from the past" have been renting Syunik for decades, plundering its bowels and filling only their own pockets. And today they want to avoid punishment thanks to the judges they own. Today they talk about the surrender of Syunik, which, according to the politician, is absurd. In parallel, these same people assert their own readiness to return Shushi, Hadrut, etc. which, in his opinion, is an absolute lie, since only the Armenian people are capable of returning all this.
"Yes, the authorities are to blame. Yes, the authorities have demonstrated their own incapacity. But they are not to blame for everything without exception. Its main fault is in the inability to realize, implement the achievements of the revolution. But the opposition is not an opposition, but an echo from the backward, provincial and not the most pleasant past. We must finally get rid of all these Kocharyans, Sargsyans, etc., to exclude even the possibility of participation in the future of the country of the rudiments of the past. These people did everything to weaken Armenia and Artsakh. And in a political sense, today they are simply does not exist, "the politician summed up.
