ArmInfo.The Prosecutor General of Armenia Artur Davtyan touched upon the scandal in connection with the interference of the adviser to the Prime Minister Anna Vardapetyan in criminal cases.
"We did not disregard these facts. We sent them to the body carrying out the investigation," the Prosecutor General said on April 30 in an interview with reporters.
The Prosecutor General said to the journalist's remark that Vardapetyan still remains at his post, and the government did not react in any way, and that the investigation is being conducted over the leak, and not over the fact of Anna Vardapetyan's editing of criminal cases, the Prosecutor General said: "The part of the case, on which we have made the decision, we decided that there are no cases of crime. According to the factual data obtained from these materials, she did not act as an adviser to the Prime Minister. " According to Davtyan, Vardapetyan's action can be considered "a manifestation of goodwill", since "the status does not prevent people from providing consultations."
Earlier, the lawyer of former FFA President Ruben Hayrapetyan - Amram Makinyan - said on his Facebook page that Nikol Pashinyan's assistant Anna Vardapetyan illegally instructs to collect information unrelated to the case of the political persecution of his client. It was reported that, according to the video materials, Anna Vardapetyan intervenes in the investigation of the criminal case brought against the businessman, former President of the Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan and his son Rafik Hayrapetyan, edits and sends the decision to attract Ruben Hayrapetyan's son Rafik Hayrapetyan as an accused to the investigator of the Main Directorate for investigation of especially important cases of the Investigative Committee of Armenia and, in fact, instructs the main players. On April 5, another scandalous audio recording appeared on the Web, in which, it was noted, the deputy head of the department for grave crimes of the Yerevan Investigation Department sent a voice message to investigators investigating cases against ex-officials, informing them that Nikol Pashinyan's assistant Anna Vardapetyan will visit the investigative body again.
