ArmInfo. Representatives of a number of Armenian political forces reacted to the technical resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government.
Thus, the representative of the Supreme Body of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" Ishkhan Saghatelyan Ishkhan Saghatelyan commenting on the appeal of Nikol Pashiyan on the occasion of his resignation on his page in the social network Facebook, in particular, wrote: "Don't even try to present your resignation as a step of good will. You did it under duress. Your resignation is the result of a persistent, uncompromising struggle that has been going on in the streets for several months. Another pathetic attempt to manipulate people and mislead their own people is doomed to failure. Yes, there is a future in both Armenia and Artsakh, but this future excludes Nikola and Nikolism."
In turn, the leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction, Edmon Marukyan, stated in a Facebook live broadcast that calls and statements began to be heard in the morning that if the parliamentary opposition forces do not nominate a candidate and do not prevent the elections, they are traitors.
At the same time, he noted that since November 10, Armenia has been in a deep internal political crisis, which was aggravated by the post-war humanitarian crisis. "Before that, we had a health crisis that persists to this day. In the face of the social crisis in the country, as well as the moral crisis, After long negotiations, we made concessions, and as a result of these concessions, there is an agreement to hold early parliamentary elections on June 20. When an agreement was reached, they began to say that this would not happen, because the Prime Minister would not resign, the agreements would be violated and there would be no elections. We said that nothing is excluded in politics, but there is an agreement, and we hope that the elections will take place. After that, a whole campaign was launched, dedicated to the fact that there is no need for elections, and what is necessary to resolve the crisis is unclear, " Marukyan said, adding that the prime minister resigned, the decree was signed by the president.
This means, the parliamentarian continued, that the process of dissolving the parliament begins. "But in the morning, pressure began to be exerted, calls and statements began to be made that if the parliamentary opposition forces do not nominate a candidate and do not prevent the elections, they are traitors. We have agreed on early elections and will not prevent the dissolution of parliament for this purpose. Why these calls and statements that elections are not necessary? When the authorities announced that there would be no elections, everyone said they were scared. Now that we have convinced them and agreed, there are statements that there is no need for elections. I want to officially declare: no pressure will work on us, we showed it in 2018, we will not go on any adventure, " Marukyan summed up.
In turn, RPA Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan, commenting on Nikol Pashinyan's resignation address, noted that Armenia will go down in history as a country whose leader is running for the post of prime minister after a shameful defeat. "The Republic of Armenia has gone down in history as a country whose leader after a conspiratorial war and a shameful defeat:
1. He held this post for another 6 months. 2. He resigned as he wanted. 3. Will participate in the elections as a candidate for Prime Minister. Dignity? No, we haven't heard of such a thing..."
It should be noted that on the eve of the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of Armenia accepted a technical resignation. This means that early parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia on June 20 rthis year.
