ArmInfo.President Biden said the word Genocide.  This is so and it pleases us. But we must be realistic about the role of the West. This opinion was expressed on his Facebook page by a well-known economist, professor at Webster University in Geneva,  Ruben Indzhikian.

The expert expressed confidence that both Russia and the West, whose  relations today are at an unprecedented low level, benefit from  maintaining privileged relations with Armenia, including using it as  a mediator in case of complications that will hinder them.

According to Incikyan, Armenia should seriously work to bring  together the positions of Russia, the United States and France as  co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group to save Karabakh through its  secession and external protection by Russia. "The role of Russia  remains key, so the Armenians in the world should do everything to  change the attitude towards Russia in America and Europe for the  better," the expert stressed.  < The Dashnak government had a hope  that the West would save the Armenians during the 1st republic, but  Wilson's Armenia did not take place. There was a successful Soviet  Armenia with 30 thousand square kilometers. Karabakh has also been  preserved to a great extent thanks to the heroic character of the  people of Artsakh. They are still heroes and should receive our full  support, " Indzhikyan stressed. In his opinion, Armenia is right to  count on Russia as the main strategic partner, and Iran as the  largest and oldest neighbor and sympathetic to us people. Armenia  should also learn to actively make friends with China, India and the  Arab world and continue to have friendly relations with the peoples  of Central Asia.

Maintaining good relations with the West is also important in order  to play the role of a mediator, to reduce the tension in the West's  relations with Russia and Iran. If the West will help and support us  more, then we should cooperate and accept it with gratitude as a  bonus. <When Turkey and Azerbaijan come to realize the importance of  accepting the historical truth as a way of self-recovery, then the  threats to Armenia will be seriously reduced. At the same time, our  people should work more on themselves in order for Armenia and  Artsakh to finally become an effective, modern state and an army  based on a developed economy. We must overcome corruption, create  modern education, healthcare and defense, and learn how to produce  and export modern goods and services of the era of the 4th Industrial  Revolution, " Indzhikyan concluded.
