ArmInfo. On April 20, the Azerbaijani armed Forces, in gross violation of the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, opened fire in the direction of the capital of Artsakh, Stepanakert, as well as the settlements of Shosh and Mkhitarashen in the Askeran district. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh.
"As a result of the shooting, the roof of a residential building in Stepanakert was damaged. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh strongly condemns the provocative and aggressive actions of the enemy aimed at creating an atmosphere of fear and defenselessness among the citizens of Artsakh, as well as torpedoing the peacekeeping mission of the Russian Federation. The attacks on Armenian vehicles, the shelling of villagers performing agricultural work, the sabotage penetration of a tank-monument located on the Shushi-Stepanakert road and the vandalism committed here, the destruction of Armenian cultural and historical monuments and many other hostile actions of the Azerbaijani side are the result of the Armenian-hating and fascist policy pursued in Azerbaijan at the state level. Any attempts to terrorize the people of Artsakh are doomed to failure and cannot undermine our determination to live freely on our own land, " the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh reads.
