RA Ombudsman: Aliyev`s statement on the Zangezur corridor and threats  against the Armenian population prove Baku`s genocidal policy towards  Armenians

ArmInfo. The President of Azerbaijan in his interview to the main Azerbaijani TV channel (Azerbaycan Televiziyase) On April 20, 2021, he voiced open threats of  violence and war against the entire population of Armenia. This is  stated in the statement of the Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan.

The human rights defender of Armenia particularly notes that the  President of Azerbaijan, especially after the war in 2020, makes  statements indicating the fascist policy pursued by him.

According to him, it is obvious that in this way the President of  Azerbaijan at the highest state level stirs up ethnic hatred, that  is, Armenophobia and carries out public propaganda of hostility.

It is necessary to prevent the genocidal and fascist policy of  Azerbaijan, the state propaganda of Armenophobia and enmity by  resolute means, ensuring a real result, in order to exclude new  violations of rights, new war crimes in the future, " Tatoyan  concluded.

It should be noted that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham  Aliyev said in an interview with Azerbaijani television yesterday  that the creation of the Zangezur Corridor fully meets Azerbaijan's  national, historical and future interests. "We will fulfill the task  of implementing the Zangezur corridor, whether Armenia wants it or  not. If Armenia wants, it can be solved simply, if it does not want,  we will solve it by force.
