ArmInfo. Official Yerevan issued a statement in connection with the opening of a trophy “park” in Baku dedicated to the war in Artsakh in 2020.
Thus, the statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry notes that on April 12, with the participation of the President of Azerbaijan, a “park” dedicated to the war in Artsakh was opened in Baku, where, along with Armenian military equipment, mannequins of employees of the Armenian armed forces, personal belongings of soldiers of Armenia and Artsakh, and helmets of the fallen Armenian servicemen are displayed.
The official Yerevan stressed that the opening ceremony of the “park” and the speech of the Azerbaijani president at it show that the above-mentioned action is aimed at publicly humiliating the memory of the war dead, missing persons and prisoners, trampling on the rights and dignity of their families.
At a time when the consequences of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh are still not completely overcome and numerous Armenian prisoners of war are being held in Azerbaijan, the organization of such an "exhibition" with elements of looting finally cements Azerbaijan as a world center of intolerance and xenophobia. Such misanthropic behavior of the top leadership of Azerbaijan is more eloquent than any statement or PR campaign about peace, tolerance and multiculturalism.
On the one hand, the Azerbaijani leadership makes statements about possible revanchism on the part of Armenia, and on the other hand, with the help of this “exhibition”, it attempts to monumentalize revanchism, misanthropy and interethnic hatred. Such steps show how far the Azerbaijani leadership is from its own declarative statements about the post-conflict situation, regional peace and reconciliation” " the Armenian Foreign Ministry concluded.
