ArmInfo.France intends to expand partnership with Armenia in the field of higher education. This became known following the visit to Armenia of Eric Carpano, President of the Jean Moulin University Lyon 3, who met with the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Vahram Dumanyan and the rector of the French University of Armenia Bertrand Venard. According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, this is the first working visit of Eric Carpano as president of the Lyon-3 University.
It is reported that during the meeting he expressed admiration for the level of education of the students of the French University of Armenia. "Youth is the future of Armenia, and investments in the university sector are an investment in a strong future. From this point of view, you can count on cooperation with us, " Eric Carpano emphasized.
Note that the French University of Armenia is an interstate Franco-Armenian higher educational institution, the flagship of the Francophonie in Armenia.
The university was opened in 2000. There are three faculties in the University: law, management and marketing. The university issues bachelor's degrees in law, economics and management, as well as master's degrees in international business law, marketing and trade, finance and control, and starting this year - a master's degree in cultural communication, tourism and management. This specialty was opened by order of the Armenian government, the duration of study is 1 year.
The French University in Armenia is the first and so far the only university that awards French state diplomas to its graduates. Along with the French diploma, Armenian state diplomas are also issued, bachelor's and master's, respectively.
