ArmInfo."Hay Dat" Central Bureau made a statement in connection with the statements of the Armenian authorities on the issue of normalization of the Armenian- Turkish relations.
Thus, the message of the Bureau recalls that "Hay Dat" has already expressed its position on this issue, after the statement made by RA Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian on February 11 this year, pointing out the danger of the approaches of the current leadership of Armenia to normalize relations with Turkey. "The events of recent days, in particular the statements of the RA Prime Minister, the Secretary of the Security Council and the NA Deputy Speaker, once again prove that the capitulating Armenian authorities are pursuing a clear policy in the context of the so-called normalization of relations with Turkey, which is carried out under the slogan of unblocking regional infrastructures. But its real goal is to consign to oblivion the historical past of our people, to abandon the demand for international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, to recognize de facto the interstate border between Armenia and Turkey, to completely abandon the Karabakh issue and restore the territorial integrity of Artsakh, to turn the territory of the Republic of Armenia into a geographical corridor connecting the two Turkish states with several possible parallel channels, "the Bureau said in a statement.
At the same time, "Hay Dat" believes that the person holding the post of Prime Minister of Armenia continues to make primitive judgments about the cause-and-effect realities of Turkey's anti-Armenian hostility.
"Turkey's hostile policy is not caused by imaginary plans of physical revenge on the part of the Armenians against the Turkish people. This is a continuation of the centuries-old anti-Armenian policy begun by their predecessors, with the same pan-Turkist and neo-Ottoman goals. In other words, Turkey views us as an enemy, since it considers Armenian Armenia an obstacle for the implementation of our expansionist programs, and since we do not abandon our historical memory and identity, demonstrating a worthy position as in the past, "Hay Dat stressed. At the same time, the Bureau notes that today Turkey continues to pursue an openly hostile policy towards Armenia and all Armenians, a vivid example of which was the open interference of the Turkish military- political system and the armed forces in the recent conflict over Karabakh.
"The Armenian authorities began to manipulate people's minds with groundless and empty words about regional peace and coexistence. Armenia is the only country in the region that has been a stable guarantor of regional peace for a long time. Peace in the region was broken as a result of the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression against us, and therefore, Armenia is the last country where peace should be preached. Our people know the value of peace best of all, but by the behest of their history they also know that an unworthy peace only paves the way for future bloody wars.
The so-called propaganda of a false peace is shamelessly continued by the Armenian authorities even when high-ranking officials of Turkey and Azerbaijan openly demonstrate ambitions towards the Armenian territories, "the Bureau stressed.
The Central Bureau also reminded that Ankara was the initiator of the closure of the Armenian-Turkish border and stated that this illegal act was a demonstration of hostility. "It is Turkey that should take the first step towards opening the border. In this context, Turkey expects Armenia to abandon the declared policy on the Genocide and the Karabakh issue, to which, apparently, the surrender authorities of Armenia agreed.
We warn the latter once again that the government that retracts from the agenda for the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and, in fact, rejects the Karabakh issue, is doomed to failure in Armenia. On the whole, this policy is doomed to failure If the authorities bend under Turkish demands, try to enter into dubious negotiations with Turkey and make concessions to the detriment of our people, then our people will never allow this, and they will remain on the pages of our history with the stigma of a traitor.
To protect the national-state interests and security of Artsakh and Armenia, it is vital that the current Armenian authorities leave the arena, and the political forces of national orientation must bear the burden of pulling the country out of this difficult and dangerous situation, "the Bureau is sure. Earlier, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan in an interview with the Public TV Channel of Armenia three times avoided a direct answer to the question of whether Turkey is a hostile state for Armenia. The secretary of the RA Security Council only limited himself to formulations that certain adjustments should be made in Armenia's approaches to Turkey, especially against the background of recent events in the region.
Yesterday Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in the RA Armavir region, also pointed out the need to revise relations with Turkey in the context of unblocking regional infrastructures and ensuring long-term peace and security.
