ArmInfo.Armenian President Armen Sarkissian did not rule out the continuation of the internal political crisis in the country after the early parliamentary elections. Thus, the head of state in an interview with the newspaper Aravot once again emphasized that he still believes there is the need to resign the government.
"If you have a parliamentary republic and a crisis situation has arisen, the government resigns, a government of national accord is formed. That is, the main parties of the country come to an agreement, form a government or a government of national accord, but at a zero level. That is, the team is made up exclusively of professionals, without political forces, "he said, stating that if there is a need in society to reform the constitution and the electoral code, then the government should pay attention to this, organize, including discussions or even a referendum.
According to the Armenian President, this option is ideal for solving the above problems in the country. "Today we have a different situation, when three political forces of the National Assembly decided to hold elections, they announced the day. They will be held approximately in the second decade of June. This is a very short time for the implementation of the changes that I said above. I will continue to insist on that in the end, if we think that our Constitution and electoral code needs to be reformed, if we want the political forces not to blame each other again after the elections, then we should work as close as possible to the proposal I made ", - said the head of state.
"Otherwise, after the elections, different decisions are possible, which, unfortunately, can again lead to a political crisis," Sarkissian summed up
