Armen Darbinyan: Armenia should get  back to the 1995 Constitution

ArmInfo. Armenia needs to return to the 1995 Constitution in the very near future, that is, to the presidential form of the Board. This was written by the Ex-Prime Minister of  Armenia, the rector of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University  Armen Darbinyan on his FB page.

Darbinyan believes that the urgent transition to the presidential  system of government is now one of the most important issues of the  internal political agenda of Armenia. , - noted Ex-Prime Minister. At the same time, he  specifically noted that he means precisely the presidential form of  government, and not a semi-presidential, since the only salvation in  the current in the country may be a restart of  the national state under a solid vertical rule. , - noted Darbinyan.

Recall that on the eve of the Prime Minister of the Republic of  Armenia Nikol Pashinyan reported that the result of consultations  with the parliamentary opposition decided to hold extraordinary  parliamentary elections on June 20. However, did not report whether  the process of constitutional changes and the refusal of the   electoral system would be launched. Note that the first major law of  Armenia was adopted on July 5, 1995. He assumed a rigid vertical of  the presidential power. Changes in the Constitution occurred on the  referendum in 2005, and therefore the country has moved from the  presidential form of the Board to the semippetion. In December 2015,  a new edition of the basic law was adopted, marking the transition to  the parliamentary form of the Board. The adoption of this  Constitution is associated with the need for an indefinite  reproduction of power by the third president of the country Serzh  Sargsyan, who led the ruling Republican Party.
