The third president of Armenia, head of the Republican Party of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said this in an interview with his supporters in the courtyard of the court on March 18, answering the question of what steps the RPA will take if early elections are scheduled. At that time, it was not announced yet that they will be held on June 20.
"I cannot say anything concrete, because it is difficult to imagine the actions of the current authorities. When there is a decision to hold early elections, then we will present our point of view in detail," he said. At the same time, Sargsyan assured that he was not going to leave the arena of political struggle. "I do not intend to leave the political trenches, I do not flee from the trenches. I have proved this with my life. I can easily give up my post, I can give up power in the name of the people of Armenia - but I will never leave my trench, in which I defend the Armenian statehood. You can be sure of that, "the third president said. At the same time, he added that over these three years the RPA also had party losses, but this only tempered, their ranks crystallized, and today a professional and competitive team has been formed that will fight for a national and strong state. Sargsyan stressed that the voice of the RPA was heard, and it will remain so. "Our actions will be clear, balanced, coordinated and honest,"- said Sargsyan.
