At the same time, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office welcomed the announcement of a truce in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone and expressed deep regret in connection with the death and injury of people. At the same time, Linde expressed her conviction that the implementation of the trilateral statement of November 9 will make it possible to move forward on the issue of a comprehensive settlement of the conflict. As the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Linde highlighted the important work of the Minsk Group and its Personal Representative (Andrzej Kasprzyk -ed.) In the search for a long-term and lasting peace.
At the same time, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office pointed to the existence of unresolved issues. "The OSCE plays an important role in the search for progress. At this stage, it is necessary to show respect for the principles of international law, including humanitarian law. It is necessary to create an atmosphere of trust and access on the ground. We also attach importance to promoting the role of women," the minister stressed. by pointing out the importance of realizing women's rights in accordance with UNSCR 1325 in terms of contributing to post-war development.
Referring to bilateral relations, Linde stated that Sweden attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with Armenia. In this vein, she stated that this interest was manifested in increasing the level of diplomatic representation and the appointment of a resident ambassador.
"We are impressed with the democratic reforms in Armenia after 2018. However, in recent weeks everyone has seen how fragile progress can be. In this regard, we call on all parties to resolve the issues that have arisen in accordance with OSCE commitments - peacefully, respect democratic processes and the rule of law ", - summed up the head of the Swedish Foreign Minister.
