The Government of Armenia decided to punish the defender of human rights for good work, to deprive his constitutional guarantees of financial independence,  hoping to take control of his work. It was posted on March 11    by a  deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the  opposition faction "Enlightened Armenia" Taron Simonyan on the FB  page of the latter, commenting on the decisions of the country's  government, adopted today in the order of not discussed issues.

According to the deputy, the constitutional guarantee of the  financial independence of the defender of human rights is canceled.   "Every year   the volume of   financing of the Ombudman office, its  employees cannot be less than the allocations provided for by the  state budget of the previous year. Meanwhile, the executive body  decided to reduce the financing of the Office of the Defender of  Human Rights, "the deputy wrote.

The government, according to the deputy, also decided to strike  across scientists and science. Legislative guarantee of science  development and scientific and technical activities are canceled.   For funding for scientific and scientific activities, appropriations  were provided for the expenditure part of the State Budget of the  Republic of Armenia every year, no less than the amount proportional  to the increase in the budget revenue, but also there will be  significant changes.

The government intends to strike into teachers and educational  institutions, deciding to cancel legislative guarantees of financing  education. According to current legislation, the state guarantees the  allocation of funds for the needs of education in each new academic  year in the amount ensuring its performance. The share of education  financing in current expenditures of the state budget should not be  lower than the relevant indicator of the previous budget year,  however, and changes are coming here.

"These government initiatives are unconstitutional, anti-state,  anti-national, and if the government intends to hold these  legislative initiatives with the participation of the ruling faction  "my step", then this issue should be subject to sonsidering by the  Constitutional Court, " Taron Simonyan wrote.
