ArmInfo. The Vatican recognizes the important role of Russia in finding a way out of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Vatican Secretary of State for Relations with Foreign States Paul Richard Gallagher spoke about this.
"Russia has played an important role in resolving the Karabakh conflict," said the head of the Vatican diplomacy, TASS reports.

The situation around Nagorno-Karabakh escalated on September 27, 2020. Azerbaijan unleashed a large- scale aggression against Artsakh. On November 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Karabakh. According to the agreements, the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides have stopped at occupied positions, and Russian peacekeepers have been deployed in the region.
