ArmInfo. Armenia as a state and a unit of state identity is on the brink of an abyss. Former Secretary of the Security Council of Nagorno-Karabakh Arshavir Garamyan is of this opinion.
So, according to him, today there are six reasons due to which the country is heading towards a national catastrophe: the absence of a national dream and, as a consequence, the way to achieve it; mutilation of national faith and church; distorted and incomprehensible state of national culture and traditions; the actual loss of Artsakh and the uncertain situation; the actual oblivion of the Armenian Genocide and remembrance only through ceremonial, formal events; nationwide multi-layered divisions and an atmosphere of unbearable hatred.
Garamyan also listed six state priorities, namely: the head of state, the legislative branch, the executive branch, the judiciary, coercive bodies (SNB, Prosecutor's Office, Police, Investigative Committee, Special Investigative Service) and the Armed Forces.
"As you can see, in the national field we are disorganized and incapacitated. State structures for the most part are either insolvent or are under the control of anti-national forces and are inactive. the army, represented by the General Staff and the command of the army corps, "said the retired senior military man. Accordingly, Garamyan continued, I consider it necessary to achieve the elimination of the anti-national power through a systematic and synchronous struggle, and then to hold early parliamentary elections by forming a government of national accord, which would guarantee the expression of the will of the people. At the same time, he believes that the government formed as a result of the elections will be able, among other important issues, to reorganize the armed forces of Armenia to solve regional and national problems.
