"The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia officially informs that the information disseminated by various media about the entry into the Republic of Armenia of representatives of the special group of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey does not correspond to reality. Refuting this information, we once again call on our compatriots not to succumb to this kind of disinformation, to be vigilant and call on those who disseminate unverified news to refrain from such actions, "the RA NSS statement said.
Earlier, the media circulated information that a special group from Turkey in the amount of 13 people allegedly crossed the Georgian-Armenian border. It was noted that "the group includes representatives of the operational department of the third field army, military intelligence, planning and intelligence coordination department." It was asserted that the group would allegedly "take direct part in the process of eliminating the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan and other key generals."
It is noteworthy that in response to this message from the NSS, a citizen of Kazakhstan, an international expert, a former expert of the Orbeli center Andranik Hovhannisyan wrote in his Telegram channel, in particular: "I'm wondering what the NSS of Armenia will answer when the names of specific people are announced. from the Armenian side, who met the "Turkish passengers" on the territory of the RA ". Note that the day before, the information about the desire of Turkish journalists to come to Armenia to cover the first March rally was also denied.
Thus, the telegram channel @wargonzo, citing sources in Istanbul, reported that Turkish media had applied for coverage of tomorrow's events in Yerevan. In addition, sources report that certain government structures of Armenia agreed to the arrival of Turkish media, but this visit was necessary also agree with the Russian security officials, who are responsible for the security of the border and other strategic objects on the territory of Armenia.
