ArmInfo. The people's right to form power should not be questioned, said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a march of his supporters organized by him along the central streets of the Armenian capital.
Pashinyan called on his supporters to march after the statement of the General Staff of Armenia, which called on him to resign and, in the opinion of the public, created the risk of a military coup in the country. During the march, Pashinyan urged people not to be enemies to each other, called for political tolerance. According to Pashinyan, there is internal political tension in the country, but not the military should be the bearers of power, but the people. "The military took such a step, since the situation is difficult and there are questions that the military does not want to answer. There are parents of the victims who pose questions to the government and to me. And we are looking for answers to these questions. Nevertheless, I have no doubt that everything will end in peace and for the people to decide what to do, "he said in an interview with reporters.
To note, Pashinyan called a rally on Republic Square today at 4 pm, during which he will talk about the situation in the country and answer questions.
