Nikol Pashinyan calls his supporters to the rally

ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan made an appeal to his supporters and members of the government to immediately gather on Republic Square in his  address to the public.

Earlier today, the General Staff of the country's armed forces  demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister and members of the  government.

As Nikol Pashinyan noted in his address, the country found itself in  a rather difficult situation. He recalled that the day before and  today he made a decision to relieve the first deputy chief of the  General Staff and the chief of the general staff from their posts.   The documents have already been signed. After that, Pashinyan  continued, a statement by the General Staff followed, in which the  military demanded his resignation. He added that the main task of the  government is to maintain the power of the people, since what is  happening is nothing more than an attempted coup. “You know that I  took full responsibility for the current situation in the country and  tried to do everything possible to answer all the questions myself.   the truth about the war, it is impossible not to ask some of them  questions, "the RA Prime Minister said. He noted that some Armenian  generals do not like the public and civil society to receive answers  to questions on a number of episodes of the war. This does not mean  that something must necessarily happen as a result of the answers and  questions, but answers for a number of episodes must be obtained. "I  urge everyone to gather in Republic Square," Nikol Pashinyan said.
