ArmInfo.Representatives of the opposition "Movement to Save the Motherland" began to gather in the center of the Armenian capital. Opposition leaders Vazgen Manukyan, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, Vahram Baghdasaryan, Ruben Hakobyan, Andrannik Tevanyan and others are among the participants in the expected march. It is noteworthy, that the brother of the third RA President Serzh Sargsyan, Alexander Sargsyan, is also taking part in the event.
In an interview with reporters, former Deputy Speaker of the RA National Assembly, Spokesman of the formerly ruling Republican Party, Eduard Sharmazanov, noted that the movement aims to remove Nikol Pashinyan by all legal means. "There is only one public demand in Armenia - the resignation of the capitulator. Nikol must leave, he is finished as prime minister in Armenia. Today's mask show is an obvious evidence that he has no power in the country. He hid behind police, "Sharmazanov said, adding that the executor of Aliyev's and Erdogan's orders has no right to speak about early parliamentary elections, especially since Pashinyan's image in Azerbaijan is much higher than in Armenia.
It should be noted that before today's event, the Movement appealed to the Armenian law enforcement bodies with an appeal to oppose the government and stop carrying out the criminal, in its opinion, orders of the political leadership. The movement called on the army, the police, the National Security Service, the Prosecutor's Office and the Special Investigation Service to stand by the side of the people and together "prevent state terror." The movement said in a statement that the opposition rally outside the government building turned into a brawl, during which police used disproportionate force against the demonstrators. The authors of the statement believe that Armenia, with the light hand of the authorities, is gradually turning into a police state, and the police officers, blindly fulfilling the whims of the authorities, discredit the reputation of the department. All security officials involved in the execution of criminal orders by the authorities will be held accountable.
