ArmInfo. On February 23, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Argentina to Armenia Mariano Vergara presented his credentials to Armenian President Armen Sarkissian.
As reported by the presidential press service, Armen Sarkissian congratulated the Ambassador on taking office and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. The President noted that the newly appointed Ambassador begins his activities in Armenia in a difficult period for our country, and expressed confidence that the diplomat with his efforts will contribute to the further development and strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.
Stressing that Armenia and Argentina are linked by traditionally warm and friendly relations, Armen Sarkissian considered it important to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The interlocutors expressed a common opinion that the Armenian community of Argentina plays an important role in strengthening friendship and maintaining warm relations between the two peoples.
Ambassador Mariano Vergara noted that he was glad to represent his country in Armenia and expressed his readiness to do everything possible to deepen cultural and economic ties between the two countries.
