ArmInfo.Work on the return of Armenian prisoners of war is carried out on a daily basis. On February 17, the lawmaker of the RA National Assembly from the ruling "My Step" faction Nazeli Baghdasaryan told the journalists about this. So she commented on the results of today's closed meeting in Gyumri of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan with the relatives and friends of those captured in Khtsaberd.
The MP noted that since the issue of prisoners of war is a very sensitive topic and can be used by Azerbaijan against the military, she cannot disclose all the details of the meeting, but assured that everything is being done to resolve the problem. "At least during today's meeting, the Prime Minister presented the progress of work on their return," the MP said, adding that the issue was also voiced in various international structures. She said that every effort is being made to implement the 8th point of the trilateral statement on Karabakh, which provides for the return of all prisoners of war. The MP recalled the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War, which also relates to Armenian servicemen.
