Representatives of the Office of the Ombudsman of Armenia visited the citizens who returned from Azerbaijani captivity

ArmInfo. Representatives of the Office of the Ombudsman of Armenia visited five Armenians who returned from Azerbaijani captivity.

According to the press service of the Ombudsman's office, representatives of the human rights defender's office, including a doctor, held separate conversations with the above-mentioned persons, studied their state of health. Following the visit, appropriate actions will be taken.

Recall that on the evening of February 9, in order to implement the trilateral statement of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia dated November 9, 2020, another exchange of prisoners was carried out.  As a result of the work carried out under the personal control of the head of the peacekeeping contingent, one Azerbaijani and five Armenians returned home by plane of the Russian Aerospace Forces.  To this day, the public is not aware of the number of Armenian prisoners in Azerbaijan, as well as the number of Azerbaijanis in the hands of the Armenian side. Official Baku has confirmed the presence of 62 two Armenian volunteers from the Shirak region.
