ArmInfo. Control over international road transport at the borders of Armenia will be implemented by the Inspection body for Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety. At the plenary session on February 11, the Armenian parliament introduced amendments to the law "On the state border" in the second and final reading.
According to the co-author of the presented document, NA deputy from the "Prosperous Armenia" faction Artur Dallakyan, the bill proposes to conduct mandatory checks of vehicles at the border when entering or leaving the country. This is necessary for the timely maintenance of the vehicle, the organization of timely rest for drivers, etc. The inspection body will also monitor the presence of a tachograph on the vehicle. The MP noted that the document will not yet be applied to railway transport. It will enter into force on January 1, 2022, as there is a need to re-equip the structures of the Inspection Body at the country's borders.
