ArmInfo. The Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 5 km north-east of the village of Shorzha, Gegharkunik region, north of Lake Sevan.
As reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, the source of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km. The strength of the tremors at the epicenter was 6-7 points. On the territory of Gegharkunik region, tremors were 5-6 magnitute. In the settlements of the Kotayk, Tavush, Lori and Ararat regions of Armenia, their strength was 4-6, and in the capital of Armenia Yerevan - 3-4 magnitute. There are no casualties or destruction.
To note, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS), three more earthquakes of the same magnitude were recorded in this region.
